Silvina London doesn't mask yellow tones with a blue tint. The change comes from real hydration, building wash after wash. Softness and shine often show first, and as hydration continues to build with consistent use, that same process is what improves and reduces the yellow tone over time.

A few everyday things influence how bright your grey looks. Dust. Silver and grey hair is essentially white, so it behaves like a white shirt and picks up dust and residue easily. This is often behind a dull or yellowish look, and a wash resolves it. Sweat. Sweat can tint white surfaces, the same way it tints light fabrics, so try to avoid touching your hair unnecessarily, especially after exercise. Make up. Avoid touching your hair while applying make up, or make sure your hands are freshly washed first. Hard water. Hard water carries high levels of calcium, which stops soaps and cleansing products dissolving fully and leaves a light film on hair, making it feel drier and duller. A filter on your shower head helps if you live somewhere with hard water. Coloured styling products. Any styling product with colour in it, including some oils with a yellow tint, can transfer onto white or grey hair, since light hair picks up colour easily. Heat. This is the biggest factor of all. Direct heat, from straighteners, tongs or very hot water, can burn the hair and turn it yellow almost immediately. Strong sun exposure has a similar effect. To protect your colour, avoid direct heat styling where you can, wear a hat in strong sun, and wash with lukewarm rather than very hot water.

The formula includes sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate, a gentle anionic surfactant valued specifically for being sulphate-free, which gives a light, non excessive foam. Less lather simply means your hair keeps more of its natural moisture, while still being thoroughly clean.

Apps like Yuka score a product by the presence of an ingredient, rather than the amount used or its regulatory approval. This is why many dermatologist recommended, clinically tested products can score poorly there too, sometimes for containing a single approved preservative. Our shampoo and conditioner include phenoxyethanol, a preservative used at a small, EU and UK approved percentage, which keeps the formula stable without using parabens. Every ingredient is listed openly on the pack and on this page, so nothing is hidden. We have never claimed or aimed for a Yuka approval. Our focus has always been the natural origin percentage, which sits around 93 percent, together with real hydration and a gentle, gradual fade of yellow tones. If a Yuka score matters more to you than those things, we would rather say so plainly than let you assume otherwise.

Europe: delivery takes around 5 to 7 working days after dispatch. Silvina takes a small salary to live on, and reinvests the rest back into the business, into better ingredients, proper testing and doing things properly rather than cutting corners. At this stage Silvina does the vast majority of the work herself, and anyone who joins the team in future will be paid fairly.
